Sub-Urban Cowboy

This country renovation was Kettle River Timberworks’ first project. The challenge for this project was to create a timber frame feeling with minimal timber and cost. Accomplishing this required a hybrid approach with a timbered veranda, timber porch and timbered elements within. Of interest, is the 50ft structural beam (supporting the upper floor) that was created by connecting 3 timbers together with historical ‘double bladed scarf joints’.
