Believe it or not, this project was a renovation. The level of finish on the timberwork on this project exceeded anything the crew at Kettle River Timberworks had worked on before. The timbers were near perfect clear Douglas fir, sanded to a microfinish and sealed with 6 coats of marine epoxy. The joinery was designed to be clean and discrete using hidden steel fasteners. Our clients wanted to build something that was highly refined but not ostentatious; a place to raise their family and entertain friends.
