White Rock Contemporary
This was the second home of our clients 2 home project. This project presented an interesting challenge – applying a ‘millennium-old’ building technique (timber framing) to a contemporary, modern house. By combining some traditional mortise and tenon joinery with simple lines, steelwork and flat roofs; we were able to find a good balance between the past and the present.
Platinum Projects, Vancouver, BCWe (Platinum Projects) have had the pleasure of working with Dave and the Kettle River Timberworks team on 2 projects. Both homes were designed without timber and then taken to Kettle River to add the timber features to bring out the west coast look. The timber features that Kettle River created are impressive. We are very impressed with the knowledge, experience and professionalism that Dave brings to the table. The design and detailing was a breeze and the workmanship is excellent. We are very proud and confident in showing off both of these projects and recommending Kettle River. Looking forward to working with Kettle River on our next project.
